We would like to introduce our processing achievements that have realized a mirror finish on high-hardness materials (SUS316) through the combined use of grinding and lapping. While leaving a 0.1mm hardened layer, we performed mirror finishing with high precision flatness and surface roughness. The flatness is 0.002, and the surface roughness is Ra0.01μm. Our double-sided grinding and lapping technology does not use magnets for workpiece fixation; instead, it grinds and polishes the workpiece by sandwiching it between upper and lower rotating grinding wheels, allowing us to accommodate various materials, including non-magnetic and difficult-to-cut materials.
